Art students will approach their artwork in the same way—uniquely,
for a unique purpose. They will learn:
The Elements of Art
The Principles of Design
Art History
Art Techniques
Additionally, students will explore various artists and their works.
After acquiring new knowledge and skills, they will be given
challenges to solve creatively, encouraging them to think outside
the box and let their creativity flourish. A variety of media will
be used for their projects, and technology will play an important
role. Each student will create a digital portfolio using Google
Slides, which will showcase all the work they create during their
art class. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the
following art contests and competitions:
The Conflict Resolution Bookmark Contest
The Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art Show
